In December of 2019 the Edmonton Elite Football Club was born. Founded by Matthew Wilson, Nick Leonidakis, Chanisse Dutchin and John Kot.
In 2020, the Edmonton Elite Football Club found their inaugural season cancelled by the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19.
In 2021, the Edmonton Elite Football Club were fortunate to have a condensed season where they went 3-1 in the regular season. In the playoffs they achieved the Alberta Football League Final where they lost 47-17 to the Red Deer Buccaneers.
In 2022, the Edmonton Elite Football Club finished with a record of 4-1-1. This record had the Elite finishing 2nd in the regular season. Meeting the Airdrie Irish in a semi-final match-up, after tying them in the regular season. A hard fought game had the season ending there.
In 2023, the Edmonton Elite Football Club finished with a 1-4-1 record in the regular season. With an unfavorable finish the Elite were still able to reach the semi-finals after defeating the Bucs 38-14 in the quarter finals only to fall 18-6 against the Fighter Jets in the semi's, holding the Jets to their lowest offensive output in recent history.
In 2024, the Edmonton Elite Football Club bounced back with a 4-2 record finishing 3rd in the Alberta Football League. In the playoffs, the Elite were able to once again achieve the semi-finals where fell to the Cold Lake Fighter Jets
